Disastro a Hollywood. Che il regista Barry Levinson stia parlando in prima persona con questo titolo? A dirla tutta non è che il film in questione sia così disdicevole, anzi in sala si è riso parecchio e certe idee sono realmente ottime, ma non convince il ritratto di produttori, major e attori viziati.
Proviamo ad immergerci nella magia del cinema e cosa troviamo? Semplicemente ciò che con humor ed un briciolo di cattiveria, il regista rappresenta nel Disastro in questione.
La vita del produttore è come quella della pallina impazzita di un flipper e alle spalle di ciò che possiamo applaudire nelle sale, c’è un alone di falsità e finzione.
Barry Levinson è il re del sali e scendi hollywoodiano, è genio e sregolatezza, ma forse sarebbe ora di metter da parte l’ironia e l’accusa velata, per tornare ad emozionarci come in Rain Man, Sleepers o Good Morning Vietnam.
What Just Happened. Maybe someone has doubt that the director, Barry Levinson was talking through first person with this title. To tell the truth, this film is not so bad, actually the people in the hall have laughed. Some ideas were really good, but the portrait of producers, major and spoilt actors haven’t fully convinced.
Try and plunge into the magic of cinema.and what do you find in it? Simply what the director represents in the film with humor and a bit of wickedness.
The life of the producer is like a crazy pinball machine and behind what we could clap in the cinema, there is a halo of falsity and fiction.
Barry Levinson is the king of the Hollywood “up and down”, is genius and disorderliness; maybe it’s time to set aside the irony and hidden accusation to come back and move like in Rain Man, Sleepers or Good Morning Vietnam.
